From Reflection to Conversation: An Invitation to Book Clubs

I’ve been reflecting a lot while in Florida.

There’s something about my daily walks here—especially when I pass the banyan trees.
They stop me every time.

Not because I stand beneath them, but because I find myself looking at them in quiet awe.
Their branches stretch wide, their roots run deep… and there’s a presence to them that feels bigger than any one moment.

It reminds me that growth doesn’t always happen in ways we can see right away.
Sometimes, it’s happening quietly. Beneath the surface. Over time.

I think about that when I think about The Long Way Here.

This book was never meant to be read quickly or checked off a list.
It was meant to be paused with. Reflected on. Returned to.

Lately, I’ve been hearing from readers who are doing just that—
sitting with a story, journaling, revisiting a moment days later.

And more than once, someone has said to me:
“This would be such a meaningful book to discuss in a group.”

I love that.

Because there’s something powerful about hearing how a story lands differently for each person.
What one person sees, another might feel.
What one person remembers, another might be experiencing for the first time.

So, I want to extend a simple invitation.

If you’re part of a book club, a circle of friends, or even a small group of colleagues exploring personal growth and leadership, I would be happy to join one of your conversations.

Not as the author with answers—
but as someone who would genuinely love to hear what the stories sparked for you.

I’m also happy to answer any questions you may have about the book, the stories, or the reflections within it.

These are the moments that bring the book to life in ways I never could have imagined on my own.

If this resonates, feel free to reach out.

With gratitude,
Anne
